A/Prof Chris Nickson the creator of SMACC and Life in the Fast Lane has developed a new three-day education program designed to challenge thinking and change practice. Across three days, CATALYST combines focused training, interactive workshops and high-level discussion on some of the most pressing challenges in intensive care. Choose one, two or three days – the option is yours. FBI: DAY 1: Wednesday 22nd July : The Flexible Bronchoscopy & Intubation in Critical Care. Catalyst: DAY 2: Thursday 23rd July: Built around high-impact trigger talks, interactive workshops and immersive discussions. Advanced ECLS: DAY 3: Friday 24th July: An ELSO Platinum-certified centre. Please note: Numbers will be limited.

The Adult Foundation ECMO Course is designed for doctors, nurses, perfusionists, and allied health professionals seeking to develop a foundational understanding of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in the management of patients with severe cardiac and respiratory failure. The course has been endorsed by the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) as an Adult Comprehensive Simulation-Based Course, meeting Step 1 and Step 2 criteria for E-AEC accreditation. The program is tailored to a broad range of clinicians, from those with little or no prior ECMO experience to those who have been involved in the care of ECMO patients. It provides comprehensive coverage of key aspects of ECMO practice, including underlying physiology, patient selection, and the management of complications and emergencies.
